Instructions for Setting Up an iPhone or iPad with the Outlook App

The Outlook app is an alternative solution to using the iOS native mail app for accessing your BPSD email on your mobile device.
The Outlook app can be installed if your mobile device did not come with a mail app already installed. You can also choose to install and use the Outlook app if your prefer the look and feel of Microsoft Outlook.
  1. Download the Outlook App from the App Store and open
  2. Click the “Get Started” button
  3. Click to select to receive mail and calendar notifications or not (you may change your choice again later).  If you choose to allow, you will get a popup again from the device asking to confirm Outlook’s permission to send notifications – click allow if that is your intent
  4. Enter your email address in the format of:  username@bpsd.us
  5. Click add account
  6. On the page to select your email provider, click ‘Exchange

  7. Enter your email password
  8. Add a description like Work or BPSD Email
  9. Click/toggle use advanced settings and then enter the following information:
    Server:  email.bpsd.k12.ca.us
    Domain:  bpsd
    Username: enter your user ID (username without the @bpsd.us)
  10. Click the Sign In button
  11. On the page asking if you would like to configure another account, select ‘Maybe Later’
  12. You should now see your mail Inbox.

Instructions for Setting Up an Android Device with the Outlook App

The Outlook app is an alternative solution to using the android native mail app for accessing your College of Ag email on your mobile device.
The Outlook app can be installed if your mobile device did not come with a mail app already installed. You can also choose to install and use the Outlook app if your prefer the look and feel of Microsoft Outlook.
  1. Download the Outlook App from Google Play and open
  2. Click the “Get Started” button
  3. Enter your email address in the format of:  username@bpsd.us
  4. Click ‘Continue’
  5. Click ‘Setup Account Manually’
  6. On the page to select your account type, choose ‘Exchange’

  7. Enter your email password and click on the Advanced Settings toggle switch
  8. Enter the following information:
    Server:  email.bpsd.k12.ca.us
    Domain\Username in the format of:  bpsd\username (substituting ‘username’ for your own ID)
  9. Click on the checkmark symbol in the top right corner
  10. On the page asking if you would like to configure another account, select ‘SKIP’
  11. After scrolling through a few tutorial screens, you’ll now see your mail Inbox.
